Having my cake & eating it too
February 14, 2008 by maeby
A quick word about the new order of things. When I started this blog just over a year ago, I naively thought I had done enough to make me anonymous. And then I got caught up in the whole sharing thing. I realized that even though I came up with clever nicknames to “protect the innocent,” such psuedonyms didn’t actually disguise a whole lot if the person in question happened upon this blog. And since Ribbit has arrived, I find myself wanting to share even more - including pictures that perhaps I don’t want so easily accessible by just anyone.
So I thought about my options & decided the - for now - the best fit is to keep ALL of my posts password protected. This is, of course, not meant to ostracize lurkers or newcomers. If you fall into either of these categories - or are perhaps a regular reader who has not yet received the password - please feel free to give me a holler or leave a comment here with a password request. Chances are good that such a request would be granted; I am, after all, a sucker for people wanting to read about the inane details of my life.
For the record, this page will always pop up upon arrival at Chez Maeby. To follow along with the newest installment of daily minutia, just click on the above tab labeled “Posts.”
As always, thanks for stopping by.

hey there…i’ve been a longtime reader and sometime-commenter. i’d love a password to see the little one and continue reading! xo f
Hello,
I have been visiting your blog throughout your pregnancy and since you announced little ribbit had joined the world!
I found the site through one of the other lesbian mom’s websites and we have a 3 year old daughter and I’m 24 weeks pregnant with another littlegirl.
I’d love to keep following if you don’t mind….

We would be sad not to continue following along. I admit, we are not good commenters.
I would love to follow along too. We have a baby blog http://www.babypants.wordpress.com and I have been reading along with your adventures, just not commenting - I keep meaning to change that.
I was so sad when I could no longer follow along. I’d love to keep up with you if you don’t mind. My wife and I will be starting TTC Summer 2008. I blog infrequently at http://just-showtune.livejournal.com/

Would love the password. I’ve read your blog for a while now, but I’m not a big commenter.
Ah yes, I am a frequent reader and would love a password so I can keep reading.
I don’t know why, but I’m unable to read your password-protected posts. I type in the password, hit “submit,” and nothing happens. Any ideas? I really want to keep reading!
Hi, I’ve been a lurker and stopped reading you when bloglines stopped updating… any chance I could get back in the loop? I really loved your blog.
